Cold sintering of ceramic materials

Abstract

Abstract. This article examines the mechanisms and results of various cold sintering methods, including special heating conditions and other innovative approaches. Particular attention is paid to promising new technologies, including cold sintering process (CSP), flash sintering, and spark plasma sintering (SPS). These methods significantly reduce the energy required for ceramic synthesis and ensure the preservation of the unique properties of the starting materials, including their nanostructure and performance characteristics. The approaches discussed demonstrate significant advantages, such as a significant reduction in sintering temperature to 300 °C and the achievement of high product density.
Key words: cold sintering, low-temperature sintering, sintering, ceramics, powder sintering
